Who we are

Dream Land Foundation for the Disabled is a non-profit Institution with a team of special teachers/educationists, committed to assisting and catering to the needs of children with disabilities, especially the Blind and Deaf.
  • We are a team of change-makers who believe that every
helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.
  • We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education.

What We Do

In order to ensure independence among our beneficiaries we provide the both education & Rehabilitation- Daily living skill, Braille (reading and writing) Sign Language Counselling, Consultation/School Placement, Hostel/Accommodation and Vocational/Capacity building Training.

Our Story

Our journey started barely ten years ago (2019), when we were able to accommodate just three to four deaf and blind children in my apartment. In year 2013, we saw the need to organize a yearly ONE-MONTH SUMMER CAMPING/VOCATIONAL TRAINIG with full boarding facilities for 8 blind and 2 deaf children, due to some important reasons such as:
  • unavailability of special teachers,
  • inability of the parent to read Braille/Mathematical code and    communicate with their deaf children,
  • some of the blind and deaf children are orphans.
In year 2018, we were able to accommodate 22 blind children (in which most them were orphans) in a storey building rented for just a period of two month. In 2019 we rented a 3 bedroom flat that accommodates 15 children both deaf and blind. After some years, there was a need to expand and accommodate more children and vocational training centre. These made us to relocate our centre to a 12 bedroom ensuite apartment in surulere, Lagos. This made us to accommodate more students and start capacity building training, which include fashion designing, hair dressing, make-up, shoe making and computer training.
